Hunt Test Accomplishments

Feb 9, 2025
This weekend was the Mid-Florida Golden Retriever Club Hunt test. Thanks to MFGRC and the UCF students who worked the event and did a great job.
The Photo upfront is Jesse Marie, owned by Beth Meaney, got her 50th master pass and enters the Golden Retriever Hunt Test Hall of Fame.
In the back row, from left to right, is Missy Marie who achieved her first Master Hunter pass and also got a senior training pass. Next to Missy is Rosie Marie with one master ribbon. The Turbo Anchor Bitch, Lilly Marie passed both master tests. Finally on the right is Alex Marie who got her second master pass and also a senior pass for good measure.

As Molly's 14th Birthday approaches, April 27th, Molly keeps knocking down Master Hunter Passes now with 61, after coming out retirement due to her loss of hearing. Molly is 3 for 3 in the last four months with a double master in two weeks. I received 4 ribbons out of my 6 dogs entered. The best part was running under two great friends and great judges, John Gassner and Mitch White who put on a challenging test. Other Turbo dogs to pass were Jesse with an all star performance and her 49th pass, Rosie, and her daughter Alex with her first master pass.

Finally after a long dry spell, the old timers pull out Master Passes at the Del Bay Retriever Club hunt test this weekend in Maryland. Lilly Marie, on the left, is going on 11 and got her 22nd master pass. Second from the left, Molly Marie is almost 14 and received her 59th Master pass. To the right of Molly is 8.5 year old Scarlet Marie, who received her 19th Master pass. Finally to the far right is Jesse Marie, also 8.5 years old received her 47th Master pass. Molly Marie was the highlight of the weekend as the 14 year old nearly deaf dog, really put on a marking and handling demonstration and the gallery were all rooting for Molly Marie. Molly's performance made my weekend. That makes the drive home much easier. Seeya Ron
