Our Mission Statement

To consistently produce healthy, intelligent, athletic, and versatile field bred working golden retrievers which are eager to work and possess the demeanor to be a welcomed family member.

Our breeding program while once intended to just carry on our family pet’s memory, then a thriving hobby, is now a program with offspring sought nationally for field, obedience, agility, hunting and other working qualities.

Our girls are subject to all of the recommended clearances specified by the Golden Retriever Club of America. Turbo Retrievers is a registered Breeder of Merit at the American Kennel Club.

We started in 1984 with our first golden as a pet… Now we strive for betterment of the golden breed. Our golden dogs are considered as friends and members of our family.

Team Turbo Attends the 2021 Golden Retriever National Speciality in Ocala, FL.

Team Turbo had a great 2021 GRCA National Specialty.  It’s a great time to be a Turbo Golden Retriever!  We participated in many events, including Agility, Field Trials, Hunt Tests, Obedience and CCA.  It was special to catch up with our old friends and to meet new friends and of course to see all of our Turbo boys and girls.   Take a moment to see our highlights HERE!

Highlights

Sharlie

Nov 21, 2021

We went to Montverde for an HRC Test this weekend hosted by The Central Florida Hunt Retriever Club. We came home with nine ribbons, and we’re proud of all of them, but there is one that is the most special.

Sharlie passed both Finished Tests, which gives her a total of 505 HRC Points. This puts her in the 500 Point Club. Years ago we never really considered that this was possible.

Another milestone for this once in a lifetime dog. She is at her happy place running Hunt Tests. At 12-1/2 years she’s still in good shape and going strong.

Jurnie had a busy schedule running four different events at the GRCA National Specialty. She passed her first Senior Hunt Test, passed her first Master Hunt Test, got her WCX and made it to the second series of the Qualifying stake at the Field Trial.

This girl is on a roll! Jurnie is trained at home by Jeff and Anney at RRC - Rushe Retriever Camp. She is out of our Cabo x Joker Litter.

MACH Turbo's Red Hot Lad MXS MJS MXF T2B DM DE

Red is a great agility partner. Now that he is 3 yrs old I feel that we are coming together as a team. He earned his MACH in May on my birthday which was the best present ever. My next goal for this year was to put in a good showing at Golden Retriever nationals. Red exceeded my expectations and won the large 20 inch Master JWW class. He is qualified for the NAC in April at the WEC in Ocala and I am really looking forward to showing there. It should be a lot of fun.

Boomer (9-1/2) and his mom, Sharlie, (12-1/2) both earned ribbons at the South Florida HRC FInished Test over the weekend.

Sharlie is having a blast running hunt tests. I’m so happy she still is having fun and is able to still do what she loves. She never ceases to amaze me. She still is the all-time leading Dam with the most titled off-springs in the HRC.
